Dingo's Lair Cottage
Barking Owl Retreat
Atherton Tablelands Accommodation Barking Owl Retreat's cottage the "Dingo's Lair" is nestled alongside Native Bush land on a little hill towards the back of the property, and has valley views and a seasonal Dam. In the early crisp mornings you can usually spot the Hot Air balloons on the horizon. The Dingo's Lair was named as the wild Dingos would cross along the fence line in front of the cottage before it was built. They have since made a new path. We have conveniently positioned an Owl nesting box in the Native Bush land next to the cottage. The Barking Owl's can be heard at times directly accross from the Dingo's Lair. Although the Barking Owls are more prominent during the cooler months and their breeding season in August, most guests do enjoy hearing their soft wook-wook call at night. The Dingo's Lair is almost identical to the Owl's hollows except for a slightly diffferent kitchen layout and entrance, and it also has a small dining table for two inside the kitchen. There is also plenty of room for a boat or campervan in the back yard.
